Show Pony is a flamboyant roller skater who Dr. Death Defying considers to be one of his closest friends. On Twitter, Pony was a constant presence in Dr. Death Defying's life[1]; he also appears in the "Na Na Na" video as his assistant[2]. Pony's flashy clothes and sassy attitude have made him a popular character among fans, with countless fans cosplaying and making fan art for the character.
Life and Background
On Twitter, Show Pony appeared to be Dr. Death Defying's closest friend--he was frequently mentioned as his friend and partner in the rebellion[3]. In the "Na Na Na" video, Show Pony skates to Dr. Death Defying's shack and hands him a vinyl record to play[4]. He was also briefly glimpsed at the end of the "SING" video, wearing a leather jacket over his usual outfit[5].
While Pony never canonically "speaks," he appears to be flashy, flamboyant, and effeminate. On Twitter, he seemed to enjoy simple pleasures, like jack-o-lanterns and jacket shopping.
Appearance
Show Pony wears roller skates, polka-dotted tights, a skimpy top with the word "NOISE" printed on the front, and a blue helmet decorated with white polka dots. Pink makeup is smeared over his right eye.
Portrayal
Show Pony was played by Ricky Rebel, a singer and dancer. As Pony was the first character seen in Art Is The Weapon, he was essentially the fandom's first introduction into the world of Danger Days. Fans also caught a glimpse of the character in one of the Zone Surveillance videos uploaded before the album's release[6]. Ricky Rebel (as Show Pony) appeared at the Record Release Party and performed a dance routine before the show[7].

Despite the character's popularity, he was completely absent from the comics. He is seen briefly in a single panel: an old photograph with Pony, Cherri Cola, and Dr. Death Defying. Aside from that, the character is never mentioned.
