A wavehead is a drug addict that gets high off the sun's radiation. Waveheads tend to sit outside for long periods of time, baking in the sun. Waveheads were mentioned on Twitter as early as 2010 by Agent Cherri Cola[1]:
Mega Moon's Throttle bar...full of Wave-Head's...good thing I was at full power...when those guys pop, its just literally shit everywhere
In the comics, it's implied that Cherri Cola is a former wavehead[2].
